Nonprofit Budgeting & Financial Management

Are you more comfortable with your mission than with your budget? This in-person workshop, facilitated by consultant Michelle-Nusum Smith, is designed to give you the skills and confidence to master your organization's finances. Through interactive exercises and real-world case studies, you will learn to:

Understand financial reports, including the Statement of Activities and Statement of Financial Position
Develop a strategic, mission-aligned budget for your organization and specific programs
Effectively manage cash flow to ensure your nonprofit remains liquid and adaptable
Communicate your organization’s financial story clearly and transparently to your board, staff, and funders
Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect your organization's long-term health

This training will be held on Tuesday, September 8th, at Frederick Community College's Student Center in Room H202-H203 (on the second floor).

*Session content will start at 5:30 pm and end at 7:30 pm. Bringing light refreshments is permitted and advised.
